In an effort to promote CPSC's innovations and to generally pay a courtesy visit, the delegation from the Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) composed of the Officer-in-Charge Prof. Dr. G. Kulanthaivel, immediate past Director General Dr. Mohammad Naim Yaakub and Executive Secretary Ms. Adrienne Abril visited the office of Honourable Datuk Mary Yap Kain Ching in Putrajaya, Malaysia on August 6, 2015.

The delegates from CPSC discussed with the Deputy Minister CPSC's latest innovations particularly the possibility of setting up CPSC Asia Pacific Technical and Vocational Education Centers (CAPTVEC) within the Department of Polytechnic Education and/or polytechnics, and the Association of Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission [APACC] Accreditees (AAA) whereby APACC gold accredited institutions in Malaysia will be part of. She expressed positive responses to these ideas.

She likewise informed of her longstanding acquaintance with CPSC, having been a facilitator and participant in some CPSC programs and expressed her desire to work with CPSC in the future.

Presentation of Tokens

The CPSC team gained lots of insights during the meeting including the Honourable Deputy Minister's advocacy in strengthening TVET and English language proficiency in Malaysia to better equip themselves for upcoming internationalization of Malaysian educational institutions. Lastly, the team invited the Honorable Deputy Minister to upcoming programs such as the Eminent Experts' Group Meeting and Senior Administrators' Conference that would review the midterm implementation of the CPSC Corporate Plan 2013 – 2018.
