APACC Inks Partnership with DTVE, Indonesia

APACC entered into an agreement with the Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE), Ministry of National  Education in Indonesia on 10 August 2006, concerning mutual support to advance the core principles of accreditation and certification of TVET systems for human resources development in Asia and the Pacific, particularly in Indonesia.

APACC was represented by the President himself, Dr. Man-Gon Park in signing the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Prof. Dr. Suyanto, the Director General for Management of Primary and Secondary Education, Indonesia.

The parties to the agreement agreed, among others, to promote the goals and objectives of APACC as a mechanism to encourage TVET systems for HRD to undergo accreditation under APACC procedures and standards.

Dr. Joko Sutrisno, Director of DTVE and Prof. Myong-Hee Kim, CPSC Faculty Member were witnesses to the MOA Signing.

DTVE is the central decision making body for policy and other matters for all technical and vocational schools in Indonesia. Its specific aim is to improve the quality of Technical and Vocational Education at secondary school level by developing the capability of the system to plan, manage, monitor and evaluate its activities.  It is also responsible for the management of public and private schools at the secondary level and training centres.
