The Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) recently organized an online orientation for Don Bosco - One TVET Philippines, Inc. held via Zoom on January 25, 2024. The aim of the program was to brief the participants of the general APACC accreditation processes along with an orientation of the seven criteria of APACC evaluation. A total of 28 administrators, instructors, and technical staff from the Don Bosco technical training centers across the Philippines participated in the program.

The APACC team facilitated the webinar, led by Dr. Kesavan Ulaganathen, CPSC Faculty Consultant, who delivered his opening remarks and welcomed the participants before the orientation proper. Afterwards, Dr. Ulaganathen discussed the APACC criteria together with Engr. Dr. Mian Khuram Ahsan, CPSC Senior Faculty Specialist. The presentation covered the following criteria: (I) Governance and Management; (II) Teaching and Learning; (III) Human Resources; (IV) Research and Development; (V) Image and Sustainability; (VI) Other Resources; and (VII) Support to Students.

The orientation concluded with a short question and answer session from the participants. Lastly, the APACC team presented the categories of the new awards with its four-year validity. Coming off from the accreditation of the Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati in 2022, this orientation was facilitated in the hopes of encouraging the other 17 technical training centers under the purview of Don Bosco - One TVET Philippines, Inc. in applying for APACC accreditation in the near future.
