During the opening program for the Politeknik Port Dickson (PPD), Malaysia online evaluation

As its commitment to providing quality TVET services to its stakeholders, Politeknik Port Dickson (PPD), Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia successfully underwent its second cycle of APACC accreditation on March 6 -10, 2023 via Microsoft Teams.

The online evaluation of PPD began with a video presentation about the institution, their programs, and achievements. This was followed by the virtual welcome speech of Dr. Hajid Muhammad Zahari Bin Ismail, Director General of the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education (DPCCE), Malaysia. He conveyed his warm welcome to the APACC team and wished that “APACC’s reaccreditation of PPD would achieve the desired targets so that more opportunities for improvement will give new ideas to PPD towards more TVET acceleration and collaboration”.

The Chairman of the Industry Advisory Committee (IAC), Dato Indera Dr. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad, FASc, also gave his special remarks during the opening day. Afterwards, the PPD Director Dr. Ishak Bin Mohamad presented the actions taken based on the APACC’s recommendation forwarded during the previous accreditation. He also shared their institution’s success stories.

A tour of PPD’s facilities via live video presentations and slide presentations per APACC criterion followed by the APACC team’s interview and validation transpired from the first day and the rest of the evaluation period. During the validation, the APACC Accreditation team also interviewed some members/representatives of the Student Council and the IAC. They also shared their roles, participation in and feedback on the programs and services of PPD.

The APACC team shared some of their initial commendations, affirmations and recommendations per the APACC criteria to the PPD team on the last day of the evaluation.
