The rating system to be used in the instrument is specified in each Indicator.  Before getting involved in the computations, the Accreditors should know the parameters in the evaluation, which are the following:

4.1.1 The overall rating (points) of the institution forms a total of 1000 points which are distributed among the seven Criteria, as follows:

4.1.2  The Weighted points assigned to each Criterion  as indicated in are further distributed among the Indicators within the Criterion (see Example I, Under Criterion I, Indicator A - Administrative Structure and Bodies, is assigned 60 points out of 100).

4.1.3 Where an Indicator includes multiple Elements, the Accreditor will consider all these Elements. Individual weightages were also assigned to each Element.  A sample is shown below:
