The quality of the accreditation procedure essentially depends upon the quality of Accreditors. The individual Accreditors are selected so that the Accreditation Team possesses the expertise and experience to enable the survey visit to be carried out effectively.
They shall have the following qualifications:
- Education and Training
- Preferably doctorate degree holders with an academic rank higher than Assistant Professor/Principal or its equivalent
- b. Have undergone training in accreditation or in the preparation of an accreditation manual, handbook or related experiences
- Have skills and knowledge in the use of computers and other state of art equipment
- Professional Conduct
- Possesses high degree of responsibility and accountability
- A strong advocate of the rule of law, democratic decision making and team management
- Effective communicatorPromoter of the sense of urgency and altruism
- Personal Conduct
- Have deep sense of self-discipline, self-worth and self-respect
- Must have the characteristics of an "ambassador of goodwill" such as: tact, humility, tolerance, prudence and impartiality
Likewise, the Accreditation Team should have a composition of members with the following experiences:
- Outstanding scientific reputation and experience in the field/ teaching experience
- Leadership experience regarding technical institutions/units
- International work experience
- Didactic experience/knowledge in curriculum development
- Knowledge of the country-specific system of institutions of technical education and applicable legislation
- Labor market and students' perspective
