APACC adopts a very careful process in selecting its accreditors. Drawing from the best of the academe may not be a guarantee of their fitness for purpose. Accreditation calls for special academic, technical and personal qualifications of the accreditors.
Would-be accreditors, who would initially be called for training, must have the following qualifications:
- must be a senior official holding a regular plantilla position in the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Ministry of Labor and Employment, National Accreditation Board or any other relevant organization or holding an academic rank of at least an Assistant Professor/Principal or its equivalent;
- must have at least ten (10) years experience in the education sector, five years of which are in human resource development with technical education and vocational training (TVET);
- preferably a doctorate degree holder, or at least a master's degree holder or its equivalent;
- must be computer literate, effective communicator, and acknowledged leader in his/her discipline with a high standard of professionalism;
- should be capable of making objective judgment; a good team leader/worker, free from social vices and is in good health.
