After the signing of commitment to organize the APACC through the CPSC Seoul Declaration 2004, and before conducting the workshop to train accreditors in 2005, the following steps were taken.
1.5.1 Preparation of the foundation documents of APACC, namely: APACC Manual, Accreditation Instrument and Handbook for Accreditors.
1.5.2 The governments of the member countries were formally informed of the establishment of APACC (its roles, functions, benefits) and the conditions for the appointment of the NCA for the country.
1.5.3 The APACC was presented to the CPSC Governing Board as part of the CPSC Director General's Annual Report 2004-2005.
1.5.4 APACC has already signed Memorandum of Agreement with the relevant ministries/departments/accreditation bodies/agencies of many member countries for undertaking accreditation and certification process under the APACC framework. As of date, signing of MOA with the remaining few member countries are in progress. |
