APACC Intensifies Accreditation, visits DVTS, Capiz

In view of fully promoting and endorsing the benefits of accreditation and certification, the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) intensifies its accreditation activities by conducting an on-site visit to the Dumalag Vocational Technical School (DVTS) in Dumalag, Capiz, Philippines from July 22 to 23, 2013. The 2-day accreditation exercise was executed by an APACC Team of Accreditors led by Dr. Romulita Alto as Team Leader together with Dr. Raul Muyong and Bryan Noel Lazaro as Team Members.

DVTS, which was established through the conversion of Dumalag High School into Capiz Regional Vocational High School (CRVHS) by virtue of the Philippine Republic Act 3429 in 1962 and was later changed into its current name on November 11, 1982, was the second of the four TESDA technology institutions visited by APACC in the Western Visayas Region.

DVTS, currently headed by Vocational School Administrator III Dr. Rosa F. Frac, envisions being a leading institution in skills training and development, supportive of our country’s goals and priorities. Its mission is to provide quality education and skills training for the development of globally competitive middle-level manpower imbued with positive work values and entrepreneurial skills. It offers various TVET programs, which include Animal Production, Automotive Servicing, Bartending, Bread and Pastry Production, Commercial Cooking, Food and Beverage Services, Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing, Tailoring, Dressmaking, Computer Hardware Servicing, Consumer Electronics Servicing, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, SMAW, Household Services and Housekeeping.
