Message from the President

Welcome to the APACC Website!

The Inter-Governmental International Organization Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education for Human Resources Development established the Asia Pacific Accreditation and Certification Commission (APACC) as one of the specific targets in the implementation of the CPSC Corporate Plan 2003-2008. With the support and commitment of 16 member countries to the CPSC Seoul Declaration of 2004 in Seoul, Republic of Korea, APACC will ensure that it is able to guide Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in equipping themselves with internationally-recognized standards and systems. It will enable these institutions to produce workforce with great mobility to move across borders and with regionally-competitive qualification skills.

The Seoul Declaration of 2004 was further strengthened by the continued support and commitment to the mission and goals of APACC, as expressed by participating governments through the Manila Resolution 2005 and Cheonan Affirmation of Commitment 2007.

As such, we eagerly invite you to leaf through the pages of this website to learn more about our activities and new developments in the implementation of our programs. You can also access the fundamental documents such as the Accreditation Manual, Accreditation Instrument and Handbook for Accreditors which we have so far developed in consultation with our stakeholders and experts in the field of accreditation and certification in the member countries.

Since its establishment the APACC has undergone several modifications in order to strengthen its policies and procedures and ensure integrity in the standards we seek to set for the region's TVET. APACC with the objective to harmonize and standardize skills taught in TVET institutions, will continuously strive to strengthen the human resources in the Asia Pacific region.

Let us work towards achieving quality standards for TVET in Asia and the Pacific region through APACC!

Thank you for your support and interest!

President, APACC
